Let’s say I’ve mixed my second chorus with automation, and now I want to use that automation as a starting point for mixing the first chorus.
I would need an easy way to copy the automation of all (selected) tracks to another spot in the arrangement.
An obvious way seems to select in loop and copy and paste. However, that also copies the items which I don’t need.
Are there any quick ways to do this?

If the Audio Events are not Cut (split), you could use the Range Selection tool (use Shift + Ctrl/Cmd modifier to select over all tracks at once), to make the selection. Then switch over to the Object Selection tool. This will select only the Automation data. Copy and Paste.

that works as long as you have an automation point at the beginning of the selection, or the automation is pasted at the wrong position.
I tried the range selection/object selection tool combo, but on items that fit inside the selection, so they got copied as well.
I would like to remove silence from the audio events, so I can make use of the amazing “Show channels for tracks with data between the locators” option, so I would like an option that works with shorter events as well.
A perfect solution would be a “copy automation (in loop)” option, but I think there’s already feature request for it somewhere.
