copy and paste causes error

Hello,

I’ve searched this forum several times and have not found any similar issue

Here is the problem

MIDI track (bass guitar…via Halion Sonic SE2 so not a 3rd party plugin)

Hi-lite section to copy (4 bar section)

Hit “Ctrl + c” to copy ( or Edit menu "Copy…[paste is greyed out] they both cause…)

ERROR- A serious problem has occured etc.

THis happens 100% of the time on first attempt after loading the song. Thereafter the above actions do absolutely nothing.

Any help gratefully received

Cubase 7.5
Carillon AC1 PC 16 Gb Ram
Win 7 Home Premeum
Intel i7

Many thanks

Dave

It is likely that your project has indeed become corrupted for whatever reason.

Depending on what’s in it you should “Export Selected Tracks” or “Export Midi”, and then import those into a new, empty file. (There is no Import Selected tracks, instead it’s called Import Track Archive)

(A Track Archive contains most Cubase data that goes with the track in addition to the MIDI or audio itself see page 696 of the operation manual)
