Copy Cut Paste - Last UPDATE

The copy and paste function doesn’t even work anymore, I sent a ticket 3 hours ago about the issue where the settings are lost, but it doesn’t even work in the same song when you copy and paste with the mouse button, while if you do command c and command v it works but loses the settings of the copied layer.

Windows or Mac?

On the Mac I can use the context menu to copy/paste layers with all settings kept as expected, 2.2.97 & 3.0.17

tested with 3.0.16 and issue happens
tested with 3.0.17 works fine

so check your current version first :slight_smile:

It doesn’t even work with 17, neither in Windows nor in Mac

… sorry, the video does not work for me.

But can you locate your User-Documents folder. Find the folder “VSTLive/templates”. Zip that folder and drop it here.

.. ah, a windows machine could finally play the video. And I could reproduce the issue. The problem is your language setting.
It’s fine with “english”.

I have noticed the copy and paste of chord and lyric tracks, from one song to another, does not work……
But, I think if you exit and restart the program its has done it!
Maybe it does not refresh the track views very well, after doing this operation.

.. I cannot reproduce it so far. Can you please help me here? Here are my steps. Question : Is the language important?

  1. Running VST Live 3.0.24 (latest version) in English
  2. Start VST Live, New Project
  3. Select LYRICS tab
  4. Add Lyric Event at 1.1 with “Hello Friday”
  5. Select TRACKS tab
  6. Select Lyrics Track. Right-Click to “Copy” track
