When a cue is displayed in a part, its range is automatically adjusted according to the range of the instrument. Is there a way to prevent this?
If I want the cue to remain exactly as it is in the Full Score, do I need to go back to the Full Score and manually adjust the notes to the desired pitches?
The note should play at the part marked in green, but it automatically plays at a different point. In this case, to make it match the green section, is it better to use Copy/Paste at the desired location rather than the Cue function?
In cases like this, what can I do to get the sound I want?
Hi @k.k, as always, an example would help to understand what you exactly mean with “range” and "remain as it is".
You can set, for the cue(s), the desired clef and/or octave transposition label, globally in Engraving Options>Cues, or locally as property override (where you can also define an octave shift).
I understand that you would like the cue to be displayed in concert pitch in a part in transposed pitch (i.e. you’d like E-BBB-G-B in the Bb trumpet part)?
If so, it’s been requested sometimes here (and discussed a lot, since it’s considered as an incorrect notation, but has sometimes been used by some publishers), but it’s not possible at the moment with a cue.
