Could you please add a transpose feature to the virtual keyboard?

I frequently use Cubase while on the go, so I would really appreciate improvements to the virtual keyboard feature.

Furthermore, I believe Cubase would be even more user-friendly if the MIDI signals I input could be easily transposed, allowing for greater flexibility when using MIDI keyboards without built-in transpose functions.

I thought you could do this with the MIDI Modifiers MIDI insert plugin?

Or using the Input Transformer. At least on Pro, don’t know for other editions. And since it is now happy hour in CA, I’m not gonna look it up.

The new MIDI Remote feature has been added, but I would like an updated virtual keyboard function that allows for easily changing MIDI signals from the initial stage, similar to that functionality.

I’m not talking about MIDI plugins, modifiers, or Input Transformer.

What I want is an updated virtual keyboard feature from the ground up, so I can be freed from carrying around a MIDI keyboard

As an alternative, you can search for “Virtual MIDI Keyboard”. There are even freeware.

By the way, reading the title, the virtual keyboard in Cubase, already has the transpose functionality, you can use the horizontal line just below the keys, or the left/right arrow keys:

And people are telling you that you can use those tools right now to make the virtual keyboard behave that way, freeing you from carrying around a MIDI keyboard.

So while you wait around for years (decades, maybe forever) for your request to be implemented your choices are A) use those tools B) carry around that keyboard.

This assumes the OP only wants to transpose by octaves. Likely that’s the case, but the OP wasn’t specific.
