CPU Load Monitor Field

The CPU Monitoring field is split in 2. Left part is CPU monitoring, the right field only shows up sometimes. Does this refer to memory availability. Whenever the right field lights up, there is often some crackling in the sound.

In case there is a memory problem:
I have a setlist of 25 songs. 18 of these use the same brass and string sounds. During startup they are preloaded for each song. Is it better to use global instead, and if so, can I switch them off for the songs where I do not need brass and strings.

There is a small red item to the far right of the CPU bar, this indicates CPU overflow, means audio processing could not finish in time given by the audio device buffer size. This produces crackles. Increase buffer size, use less demanding plugins, or buy a new computer:-)

Thanks for your reply. The small red item lights up although the CPU bar is less than half lit.

Thoose reds are repeated sub-momentary spikes.

As Musicullum says Depending on your buffersize, but one cycle is a short period of time

CPU Bar shows average, the overflow indicator recognises each peak.

OK, thanks guys. Need to throw out my Garritan CFX Grand Piano and replace it with something more lightweight. Seems to be too much in combination with the Panndora Synthage Yamaha Montage emulation.
