Hi all
I have Cubase 5.5.3 on a Mac osx 10.6.8, 3GHz intel core duo, 8Gb DDR3. I think I’ve hit my memory limit for a project I’m working on, my mem usage is reaching the 4Gb mark…but my CPU sits at 100%, even if I’m not doing anything. Is this to be expected?
I’m installing the 64 bit version on Windows 7 to see if having more addressable memory will help, but of course there are plugins that aren’t supported yet so I won’t be using it for my work yet.
Does anyone have any tricks / tips / ideas?
I’d imagine people like Zimmerman have heavy memory requirements, so how does he do it?
