Hello everyone. I installed Cubase 13, and when scaling the project, with “play” pressed, my monitors produce some crackling noise. This crackling is very similar to when using a small buffer size with a processor loaded with plugins, but no plugins are enabled. While the project is playing, and I want to enlarge the track view to examine the sound wave in more detail, at the moment of zooming in, my project produces crackling. This was not an issue in Cubase 11. Please help, as I’m running out of ideas. In the VariAudio editor, the crackling is especially noticeable at each step.

Hi,
Try to increase the Buffer Size, please.
This is the first thing I did, but the buffer size doesn’t affect these crackling noises.

Yeah, I can have the largest buffer, there’s always crackling, this is really annoying, as soon as some audio files are involved on the timeline, there will be cracks I don’t understand, ableton doesn’t do that, nuendo doesn’t do that, only cubase 13
I noticed once I had once of those cracks, if I stop the playing, I’ll hear another crack. If I stop the playing without hearing that crack, there will be no other crack when I stop the playing. It’s annoying, it happens randomly and it always feels like I left an error in my audio file, but the cracks never appear at the same place
