Hi,

on my last gig VST Live completely stuck while playing (notes hang, no more reaction on keyboard actions, no reaction on keyboards PANIC button).

VST Live did not stop the task.
I had to manually stop and restart VST Live. From that point it did what it should.

An embarassing situation for me and rest of the band. 200 people waiting for me to recover.
All in all an interruption and confusion of about 5 minutes.

I can say for sure there were no external influences (slack cables, plugs, other software) at this time. VST Live was master application of the notebook.

Find attached the relevant (at this time) events of the windows event log.

How can I find out what was the reason ?
And how can I prevent that occuring again ?

I consider to throw VST Live (losing much time I spent with it and losing some useful features).

Hi @gerhard.kiessling,

I am so sorry to hear that. We are doing our best to get the crash analysed and fixed. But we do need a crash dump file to get it analysed. Can you please have a look to the following folder?

C:\Users\YourUsername\Documents\Steinberg\CrashDumps

Do you find any files for VST Live?

Hi,

the subfolder “Steinberg” does not exist there (only “VSTLive” which does not contain a subfolder “CrashDumps”)
