I reported this to Steinberg CAN-32542.
And I should mention, you are not using supported macOS. only macOS 10.14 and 10.15 are supported with Cubase 10.5.
I can see, you have more crashes, for example here. Could you try in Cubase Safe Start Mode [Disable preferences], please? And I would definitely upgrade the macOS.

The windows layout management under “windows” menu
I know, my desktop iMac does not allow the last Os, but on the MacBook Pro I can work without issues. I’ll try safe mode start as you suggest me.

My point is, Cubase 10.5 has never been tested with macOS 10.13. So there could be something, no one knows in Steinberg… In fact, for Steinberg it’s easy to say “you are not using supported system, we are going to ignore your report” (sorry for my honesty), because they just cannot know, if it’s in Cubase or the unsupported system.
