I’ve just experienced a crash with Dorico. The application closed immediately after I pressed Esc in response to a dialog indicating that the version of the current project on disk had been updated (or words to that effect).
I’d be grateful if a member of the development team could review the uploaded diagnostics. It’s always a little disconcerting when a program closes without warning (without even a spinning beachball), and if an issue can be identified, I hope it might be addressed in a future update.
Roy, please don’t bump threads. If you allow Dorico to upload crash reports, then the (anonymised) crash report will be automatically analysed by our system, and if we see that the crash is affecting lots of users, we will investigate and try to fix it. But we cannot always respond to every individual user who reports a crash report. There are hundreds of thousands of Dorico users and only a handful of us in the development team. Thanks for your consideration!
Understood, no problem. I’ve experienced quite a few crashes recently and was hoping this diagnostic might help prevent similar issues in the future.
Other crashes have prompted Dorico to recover a project, and I always worry, perhaps unnecessarily, that a project might not return in its most recent state, although I do have hourly backups in place in case recovery is not possible.
