Hello, I’m rather well experienced Cubase user (since Atari till 10).
But now I have problem with my 8.5 on Mac. My Cubase started today to crash everytime when I open the file dialog. Cubase freezes for about 30 sec, and then crashes with:
Crashed Thread: 0 Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread
Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)
Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x00007ffee0827b60
Exception Note: EXC_CORPSE_NOTIFY
Termination Signal: Segmentation fault: 11
Termination Reason: Namespace SIGNAL, Code 0xb
Terminating Process: exc handler [2686]
(...)
Error Code: 0x00000004 (no mapping for user data read)
It happens ALL the time on File → Open…, File → Import → Audio File,
it doesn’t happen on File → Save as, File → Export → Selected Tracks, Export → Tempo Track, Export → OMF, choosing Location on Export Audio Mixdown.
I’m attaching three system log files. As you can see from log files, I’ve also tried upgrading C8.5.0 to C8.5.30 - didn’t help. I’ve also tried to load default preferences in preferences window - didn’t help.
Any ideas other than completely reinstalling the program? Does it look like Cubase trying open some not existing path? (Maybe network or external drive?) If so, how to change it?
