Crash on launch once ... never twice. ??

Cubase 7.5.40.

I’ve noticed that about half the time Cubase will run through it’s startup routine, then while in the Mixer portion it crashes - first an error message from Windows 7, and when clicked Cubase closes down and the Windows desktop is shown.

Then, when I start it up a second time, it ALWAYS starts up.

I have just gotten used to working like this, it’s not the end of the world, but was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, or knows of any simple fix to make it go away?

Crashes during “Mixer” loading are very often caused by 3rd party plug-iny. Mainly if you open a project. Make sure, you plug-ins are up-to-date, please.

OK, thanks, Martin! The only 3rd party plug in I have in this project is Little Microshift (Sound Toys). Unless UAD-2 is considered "3rd-party plug-ins?

Yes, UAD is also considered as 3rd-party plug-in.
