I tried transform selection of 3 selected layers and app crash- not a CTD.
-select multiple layers in one group (not all layers in group selected)>
-selected the area with Time Selection Tool>
-left click to access Transform Selection from drop down>
-left click selected area with Transform Selection tool= Crash

I’m not using latest version of SL 11 because I was experiencing sluggish performance, which I had said I would screen record, but alas, I have not yet done that
This appears to be a case of me not doing things correctly
I had no problem creating a copy of the group and then use Transform tool on the selected group (move the group later on the timeline); and not using Transform Selection tool on multiple selected layers within a group
teething continues 
and now I’m wishing for a phase align tool!
I’m not sure the multiple selection has anything to do with my current situation. SL crashing constantly on me right now after months of stable performance.
There are a couple differences, the most obvious is I’ve been having issues since latest windows update.
The other issue is this particular job has a couple versions of the same comp as safeties. I have never merged layers before this job that is crashing on me. All my other work has been little or no editing of the comp I’m working on; I suppose I need to go back to one of those simple jobs to test.
It is always the same issue with SL when it crashes: the brush preview gets sluggish and crash soon to follow.

well, manual phase align in SL11 is great, really…it takes plenty of time, but get the hang of it and some amazing results to be had to my ears
