Crash when exporting DDP image in WaveLab 12.0.51 (macOS Tahoe 26.01)

Hi,

Whenever I try to export a project as a DDP image, WaveLab quits immediately after I press OK.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Album β†’ Write Audio CD or DDP
2. Select DDP Image as the device
3. Set a destination folder
4. Fill in the Table of Contents information
5. Click OK

Observed behaviour:
WaveLab crashes and exits completely each time. Sometimes, simply hitting the Album causes the exit

System details:

  • WaveLab 12.0.51
  • macOS Tahoe 26.0.1

Additional context:

I have created >100 DDPs over the past year without any issues and the problem started after upgrading to macOS Tahoe.

Best regards,

–
Steven

PS: Steinberg Support say Tahoe is compatible

Do you have, by chance, a CD drive connected? If yes, try to disconnect it.

Hi, no - don’t think I have a CD drive any longer. Always create DDP and test using the DDP player.

We have indeed detected a problem when there is a CD drive which is connected. Otherwise, I know many people, including myself, that can create DDPs on Tahoa 26.01.
Therefore, I must say I have a little idea for your case.

I checked a few of my many other DDP projects and could quite happily create new versions without mishap. I concluded that there must be something amiss with my montage file.

Anyway, I created a brand new montage and rebuilt it from the ground up and everything is back to normal. Presumably, something had corrupted the original montage? Pure conjecture, of course, but am happy to be working again!
