Hello, I’m suffering a lot with constant crashes (Cubase freezes). I’m on a MacBook Pro 14 with 16GB. I’ve update all plugins. Any suggestions?
Hi and welcome to the forum,
Please, attach the *.ips file.
Mac: macOS Console utility > Crash Reports (or ~user/Library/Logs/Diagnostic Reports).
Do you have a Mac with an M processor or an Intel Processor? If it’s an M processor, do you start Cubase in the native or Rosetta mode?
Hi Martin,
Thanks for your reply!
I’m starting the Cubase in Native mode (it’s a M1 Pro processor). Here you have the last 2 files but today it already crashes/freezes 3 times with no ips files generated:
Cubase 13-2024-02-19-141309.ips (689,5,KB)
Cubase 13-2024-02-22-184127.ips (378,4,KB)
Hi,
This crash is in the SSL Native Channel Strip 2:

And this crash is in the purecomp plug-in:
Thread 0 Crashed:: Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread
0 ??? 0x70e3fcaddc9 ???
1 purecomp 0x4742781e8 0x473d0c000 + 5685736
2 purecomp 0x473d1e160 0x473d0c000 + 74080
3 purecomp 0x473d1bdac 0x473d0c000 + 64940
Thanks Martin,
I’m pretty sure SSL Native Channel Strip 2 is up to date (I’ll double check about purecomp)… In this case, considering that plugins are up to date, there is nothing else we can do? Any suggestion? You’ve mentioned Native or Rosetta… any preference? Thanks!!
Hi,
Get in contact with the plug-in vendor, please.
If the plug-in is not compatible in the Native mode, it makes sense to try in the Rosetta mode.
