Create Blank Manuscript

I am trying to create a blank 12 stave manuscript in Dorico. No clefs, no time signature, no brackets, no measure numbers, just a 5 line staff like this

Any idea how I can do this in Dorico. Thanks for any advice.

Welcome to the forum @pba007.

Daniel, I started to read the tip you posted, but then it looks like you removed it.

Yes, apologies. It was old and used out of date terminology. I’ve added a relevant page from the current manual. It’s a bit confusing, sorry!

EDIT
On second thought, here is the video anyway. It might be easier to visualise even with the wrong terminology!

Following @DanielMuzMurray advice and the linked Manual site, here an example Dorico file and a visual guide of a possible workflow for just a simple manuscript paper (not integrated in a mixed layout with different frame chains as in the Manual):

Dorico file:
manuscript paper 12 staves 7.9mm.dorico (428.6 KB)

Workflow:
EDIT: well @DanielMuzMurray courtesy posted the nice video link. I leave my visual explanation anyway, in case it could be of some help:

Workflow: (click to expand).
  • create a new project (that can contain just a simple treble staff from the Sketch family, or whatever)

  • create in engrave mode a new page template based on (none) and Custom

  • edit it dragging a music frame for the whole page (copy also L to R on the upper part of the window)

  • in the Filter by Flow blue field choose Blank Staves, apply and close

  • insert a page template change (right click on the first page icon) using this newly created page template on the first page From this page onwards

You can then the set the Size and Orientation of the Page itself, the Rastral size and the desired amount of staves (and the Page and Music frame margins too as desired) in Layout options (for that specific Layout):

Thank you so much. I am in the US Central time zone, and my work day is ending. I really appreciate the responses, and I will start with this tomorrow morning. (Right before I take my daughter to her cello lesson.)

While you can create manuscript paper in Dorico, it’s also very quick to do in a drawing app.

Draw a line; duplicate it 4 times; (step repeat or distribute evenly).
Group the lines, duplicate down the page (step repeat or distribute evenly).

Thank you for your help. I was able to create blank 12 stave using your guide. peter
