In the case anyone finds it frustrating that you cannot edit “created drum maps from instrument” - there’s a work around. Create the drum map. Then open the drum map editor. Make sure the right drum map is selected then save the map naming it something new.
Remove the created drum map and now load the saved version. Now you can fully edit the map.
