Creating a Playback Template which includes Articulations

Have got a Template working which applies instruments, and VSTs to a new project working. But can’t seem to get the custom articulations to come across into the new project. To create the template, I Saved Endpoints, created a new Playback Template using that Endpoint Configuration. Then created a new empty project and added some instruments named the same as in the template and Applied that saved Template to this new project. Instruments came across as well as the VST’s, but not the custom articulations. I’m missing something in the setup.

Do you mean custom Playing Techniques?

If so, you need to make sure that they are saved to your User Library in the Edit Playing Techniques dialog.

It’s as simple as selecting your technique and clicking the star in the list.

(The same goes for any custom music symbols in the Edit Music Symbol dialog - or for any custom library options!)

No, that is not what I want to do as saving them as default for each of my templates would give me thousands of entries in the right panel Playing Techniques. What I want to happen is that when a Playback Template is engaged it should bring in the instruments and VST’s along with the associated Playing Techniques (right panel). for those custom instruments. Somehow I did this once but don’t know how I did it.

Hmmm something about this doesn’t quite make sense to me. It could just be me!

To the best of my knowledge, Playing Techniques are completely separate to Playback Templates; only Playback Techniques are saved within a Playback Template.

Also, Playing Techniques aren’t attached to Instruments (again, to the best of my knowledge).

I’m confused.
Could you give us some examples of your custom articulations, just so we know what we are talking about? Or perhaps upload one of your projects.

Please don’t do this - just use a zip file so we don’t have to jump through hoops.
