Creating a score for un-metered music based on a time grid visible in the spacing and lines

Hello

I’m creating a score of un-metered music. I’d like the performer to understand through spatial blocks of 5 seconds roughly where to play what will be notated.

Is there a way of creating a grid of lines to do this? Or should I start by inserting all the music and then work on system breaks and lines to make it work?

I would simply enter the music first, then use spacing tools to adjust the exact appearance.

There are various ways of notating spatial music, most of which can be achieved pretty easily in Dorico. If you could share a screenshot or a further description of what you want, someone here could show you how to do it.
