Creating a video in sync

Having the latest update of CB 14 Pro. I want to create in sync with my project a video of the New score editor playing from beginning to end with the audio. I do not want to use a camera just the new editor screen What software do I need and can it be done? TIA

Windows:

I think there’s a MacOS version.

OBS might be way overkill… if the user’s on Windows wouldn’t the Snipping tool work for this?

Done as requested

I just want to record the score screen and post it on youtube with audio - it must be in sync with CB 14 Pro

There’s been no change to your profile. Give me the info and I can populate it if you like. It is clear what you’re after, btw

I thought the Snipping Tool was just for screenshots.

To be honest, I just use my GPU software’s video recording features.

I took a look at the snipping tool it does have a video feature in it that records the selected window on the screen but I just can’t get the audio to play and I know my audio is set up correctly because I use it with CB 14 pro with no problem Focusrite 18i8 audio interface

I don’t think snipping tool has any audio support….EDIT…I Spoke too soon, it does….if your interface has loopback mode you can enable it might work…make sure the loopback return is set as windows input device.

Otherwise you will need to find a screen capture software that offers ASIO support or use one that doesn’t in combination with loopback mode or something like Voicemeeter to route ASIO out to the windows input audio stream that you can capture.

It might actually be easier to record the video….render the audio out of Cubase then sync them up in a new Cubase project (or in any video editor) and then export the muxed file.

Yeah, It only hears the system output. I was able to do this by using the Steinberg Built-in ASIO driver routed to a system device that can produce sound.(while I don’t have speakers hooked up to the built-in soundcard - I used an hdmi monitor)

that is what I was thinking..

I’m starting to think about a camera on a tripod with sound off. thanks for your efforts Steve
