Creating and editing lines and symbols is essential for my scores, but I was unable to find an editor for that the first time I tried Dorico last year. Is there anything like that in that program yet? I would like to switch from Sib to Dorico, but can’t do it until certain things that I need are incorporated.
Also, is there a pdf manual yet for the new version of Dorico?
Welcome to the forum, Mister Wescott. Dorico does not yet have a generic editor for lines and so on, but of course this is planned. You can freely create new musical symbols by way of the Engrave > Playing Techniques dialog, and you can also change the appearance of existing symbols that Dorico’s built-in features use via the Engrave > Music Symbols dialog.
The documentation for Dorico 2 is still in progress, but the combination of this PDF and the Version History PDF should tell you everything you need to know. And if you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask here.
