creating mashups in cubase artist 8

Hello,

I was wondering how I can make mashups in cubase 8 artist?
What do I do with songs that have different BPM’s?

Figure out the BPM of each song.
Enter that info into the media pool.
X the ‘musical mode’ box in the media pool next to each file.

Drag the files to the arrange window.
Set the Tracks’ time base to Musicsl.

Now when you set a tempo either on the transport or tempo track, the songs will conform to the new BPM…
ASSUMING that your original Tempo setting was correct and the songs were recorded to a click

I recently did one called “Foils on 45” (on iTunes)
Took stems from a whole album and made a disco mashup.

I have an accapella i’d like to build new music to, but i can’t get the accappella to line up with the project’s click track. I used a website ‘tap for beats per minute’ to figure out the acappella’s bpm. I followed the steps in the media pool. its like everything else i import that is audio like loop beats line up fine to the tempo of the project, but not not the accappella file.
