Creating midi script causes lower editor to misdirect

After creating a script for my MIDI keyboard, the lower editor in Cubase 14 Pro is malfunctioning. Any keyboard command entered in the lower editor window is executed in the project window. The key commands work, but in the wrong place. The full-screen editor window works normally. The problem even happens in safe mode with third-party plugins and preferences disabled. Any suggestions?

Hi,

What is the MIDI Input of your MIDI Remote Device?

Could you provide an example, what if the script controlling? And exact description, what is not working?

I’m using a Steinberg UR22-C for input. The script maps buttons and faders from my Kurzweil keyboard. I’ve used it for years. Recently, however, Cubase misdirects any keystroke pressed in the lower editor window, instead executing it in the project window. Here’s a short video. You can see a white line around the lower editor window, but when I press the “G” Zoom Out key, the action executes in the project window instead. That happens for any key pressed while the lower editor window is highlighted. Superficially, this has nothing to do with my MIDI script, but disabling the script and rebooting my computer has become the only way to get Cubase to work correctly again.
