Cross post from UR44C forum re: dspMixFx, Cubasis and iPad

Hi all - I’ll post a link to what I’ve posted in UR44C - but the short story is, there doesn’t seem to be a way to use dspMixFx (DMF for short) on iPad, even though there’s an iOS-specific version in the App Store (v 3.1.0).

I can open DMF on my iPad, I can separately open Cubasis or Logic, but I can’t split screen them to have both open at the same time because that’s not supported in DMF.

Is anyone successfully using DMF to record to Cubasis, Logic, or any other daw on an iOS device? If so - could you share how you’re doing that? Support (from Yamaha now) verified that you can’t split screen it on an iPad and will continue to do some research and get back to me. I’ll post anything I learn.

Here’s the link to the 44RC forum post just in case:

Hi @stephenrmcconnell

This is the Cubasis forum, where we discuss all things Cubasis.
I’ve shared your original topic, and hope it will get answered.

Best,
Lars
