Crossfade introducing transients

I’ve just installed Cubase Pro 14.0.40 update (Windows 11), and crossfades appear not to be calculating correctly. The waveform at the start and end of the crossfade is discontinuous with the waveform immediately outside the fade region.

I’m working on freshly bounced, simple files. It’s as though the fade isn’t correctly referencing the index of the underlying data.

Did you use the Glue command by any chance?

Hey Johnny, no it’s just cut, slide over and crossfade…. Same edit I’ve been doing for 20 years :grinning_face:

But good thinking, I’ll check my shortcuts and make sure something funky hasn’t snuck in.
