Crossgrade from Finale to Dorico Pro - more Questions

Yes, an old vehicle without seatbelts, power steering and sat nav.

ah, newfangled stuff!

I need to make some correction to avoid being unfair to Finale what helped me for such a long time so efficiently. It is obviously not like a Trabant. It is more like a Mercedes from 1965 compared to a Mercedes made in 2022. Anyway, I’m very respectful to the team who created and developped Finale. But Dorico is so great ans responds to many things Finale hasn’t yet…

Sorry, I’ve just read your recent post @mzungu, you’ve said the same:)

Yep, I am very proficient with computers and computers programs, but the Dorico interface is much more intricate, and at the same time less flexible. And the “how to videos”, are just terrible (they seem to be mostly a quickly paced list of “you can do this”, “you can do that”, “oh, and also this too”, and “how great this is”). Finale has less of a slick interface, but by what I have seen it had (has) heads and shoulders more capability, flexibility and ease of use than Dorico. I regret having bought Dorico Pro, even with the little discount … and BTW the pro license does not even work with the Ipad!

It sounds like your best strategy is to stick with Finale - that should be a workable strategy for a number of years.
