I know it has been said…, but surely double-line track names in the mixconsole…which was in the first 10.5, then taken away in the following update…could be a pretty easy thing to sort (back) out?
Never seen any answer for this…(forgive me if I missed one)
I wish i could know that, or better say Steinberg knows since the hanging on exit is old issue and many users encounter with. Luckily isn’t deal breaker since hanging is occur only on project/Cubase closing, its hassle when you open many sessions through out the day though… The same question can be applied how does the Reaper never hangs on same machine/system?
My point would be that Steinberg doesn’t testing enough, and quality check control is not on best level as this 10.5 confirms with all hotfixes and topic about slow on Mojave which has 22pages so far. For my particular case 10.5 wasn’t usable till February 3 (82 days from the release)
Wondering are they have enough beta testers…
When this message appears every time, something is really wrong with your system. That means Cubase doesn’t quit properly at all and it crashes all the time instead of quit. Do you have any DMP files in the Documents/Steinberg/Crash Dumps folder, please?
I know it. Cubase always hangs on exit for anyone who uses Acustica Audio plugins and working on Windows.
And it happens only with Cubase. No other DAW hangs on exit, i’ve tried it 1000 times on a different windows versions and different Cubase versions. I just want to turn off this annoying message. There’s no solution to fix Cubase hangs on exit until Steinberg will pay attention to the problem of how Cubase manage highly buffered VST plugins.
I’m not holding my breath that this will ever get fixed though. Steinberg can’t provide proper HiDPI scaling and that’s apparently a “high priority” to them.
How much of a “priority” do you think that fixing a little track naming bug in the mixer will get?
Mark my words: Cubase 11 will come and go, and this issue will still be here.
Yeah, lots of heavy plugins makes Cubase hangs on exit. I don’t mind to close process manualy, but Cubase doesn’t save any settings i’ve changed during session. And now it’s annoying safe start message every time.
Wow! OK, so the Steinberg policy of paying to upgrade to get stuff fixed is still firmly in place. Thanks for the heads-up, I can now move on without wasting any more time and money - eBay listing imminent.
Mathias firstly thank you for an honest reply. Secondly because of this I like many others have migrated to using another DAW. You simply cannot expect loyal customers to constantly pay for something that should have been fixed in the first instance. You pay for 10 and you pay for 10.5 and now you can pay for 11 if you want HiPDI Scaling. Sorry but I honestly do not think so.
Lastly I respectfully request that someone should make a decission to either fix this now or give those who went from 10 to 10.5 a free update to 11. That way you may retain many of your long term loyal customers who use 4K Monitors.
