Cubase 10.5 AI to Artist Upgrade

Howdy!

I hope I’m posting this in the right place… :slight_smile:

Just looking for a pointer on upgrading to Cubase 10.5 Artist and here’s my situation…

I have Cubase 10.5 AI installed on my old computer and it has no USB C port

I’m using a Steinberg URC22 that has a lot lower latency if use you use via USB-C

I have a new computer that has USB-C

I have ordered my 10.5 upgrade and licenser

I want to put Cubase 10.5 Artist on my new computer only.

What’s the easiest way to do it? Do I need to install AI on the new computer first? If so do I need to do a license transfer (AI is just using an activation code and not a USB licenser)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated 'cuz when I get all of the rest of my gear I want to be ready to rock!

You don’t need to install anything. Just move your AI license to the USB dongle on the old computer and then upgrade the license to Artist with the code you got. Now you can install and use Artist on any computer you have as long as the USB dongle is plugged in.
