I know this is a topic which has been discussed before and it has been suggested that it is a VST causing the problem but I have no VST’s loaded and Cubase is still crashing every 5 minutes. Anyone else had this problem and found a solution?

Could you attach a crash/dmp file, please?
Mac: macOS Console utility > User Reports folder (or ~user/Library/Logs/Diagnostic Reports).
Win: Documents/Steinberg/Crash Dumps
