Does it mean I still have to use the USB dongle if I keep using 10.5?
If I buy a new computer I cannot use the dongle anymore because reactivation will not be possible anymore?
So Steinberg actually forces me to buy the update now, if I want to use Cubase on new computer in the future?

Yes, Cubase 10.5.x was fully using eLicenser. In case of Cubase Pro 10.5.3, it’s USB-eLicenser.
In this case, you will just move the USB-eLicenser to the new computer and you can start Cubase Pro 10.5 on the new system.
No. But if you want to update to the latest version, you should do it until the end of 2024. Once the eLicenser server will be switched off, you will not be able to update anymore. You will be able to use your old Cubase anyway.
