Hi guys,
I decided to update my OS today from Windows 7 to 10 and it went smoothly. I decided to upgrade from Cubase 10 to 10.5 today as well and I am experiencing a problem. I receive the following alert- Cubase 10 has stopped working. This happens as initializing padshop.dll appears in the load up and I am unable to proceed any further.
Now the problem is I would get the same alert when starting Cubase when I had Windows 7 and Cubase 10 installed but it would continue to load and away I went without a problem. Something is not happy somewhere…
Thanks for your help
Andrew
Hi,
Could you attach the *.dmp file, please?
Win: Documents/Steinberg/Crash Dumps
Hi Martin,
Thanks for helping.
I have opened C10.5 successfully once in safe mode but I haven’t been able to open it again (in safe mode) since. Still wants to hang once it initialisies Padshop.dll
Regards,
Andrew
Just an update.
I have reinstalled but no joy. I will raise a support ticket.
Just for good measure now Cubase 10.0 hangs at the same spot.
Hi,
Sorry for my delay.
The crash is in Padshop. Could you install the latest update? If it doesn’t help, could you try to trash Padshop preferences, pelase?
