Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing an issue with my setup in Cubase. The software no longer recognizes any of my audio interfaces except for its own “Generic Low Latency ASIO Driver.”
- My PC recognizes all audio interfaces without issues.
- I can route audio through the “Generic Low Latency” driver, but this causes problems with my VSX headphones setup, which relies on my RME UFX+ interface (an external unit). With this setup, audio goes through the generic driver, so the headphones don’t work as intended.
- This issue is now happening in older versions of Cubase as well.
Has anyone else encountered something similar, or does anyone have suggestions on how to get my audio interfaces to show up as they used to? Any help would be appreciated!
Hi,
It sounds like a permissions issue to me.
Thank you
What should I do then?
It never happened before so I’m not sure where should I find permissions
BTW, I have encountered difficulties obtaining support from Steinberg, as my version is no longer supported. Over the past 20 years, I have invested a considerable amount in various Steinberg products, including several versions of Cubase. It would be greatly appreciated if Steinberg could consider supporting its long-time users.
Hi,
Allow Apps to Access the Microphone
Windows sometimes categorizes audio interfaces as “microphones,” so Cubase might need permission to access the microphone to detect the interface. Go to:
- Settings > Privacy > Microphone (or Sound in newer versions of Windows).
- Ensure that Allow apps to access your microphone is enabled.
- Scroll down and ensure Cubase has permission if you see it listed under the apps.
You can also try to reintall the Audio Interface’s driver. Try to install it as administrator, please.
Thank you for your assistance.
It seems that my system is not recognizing any of my audio interfaces, including the Line 6 UX1 and others. I believe this indicates that the issue may not be related to the audio interfaces themselves. I would also like to confirm that my system is configured as intended.
Unfortunately, this issue arose today, and I find it quite frustrating. Your guidance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Hi,
What changed from yesterday, what could call this issue?
Just for interest, could you try to reinstall one of the driver?
This is how it looks!
Even the generic low latency can see the other audio interfaces while Cubase does not!
I can’t also listen to SpotFor example, now while Cubase is exporting, this is something I was able to do a few days ago for years!
I think the only change is I reinstalled Cubase’s generic low driver …
I installed the Steinberg built-in ASIO driver, which recognizes all of my audio interfaces. However, Cubase still doesn’t recognize any of them, and this issue has appeared in all my Cubase versions starting today.
I’ve just installed Cubase 13 trial and still no luck they just don’t appear…
The problem was the RME audio interface driver installation, when I reomced it from the device from the Device Manager the problem was solved.
