I run Cubase 12 on my system (Macbook Pro 10.14.6). I also run Cubase 11 sometimes because of some projects that were created using Rewire with Ableton. Suddenly today Cubase 11 wanted to do a license activation and when I checked in the eLicense Control Centre, I got the following message:
This message is about the Soft-eLicenser, so it has nothing to do with Cubase Pro.
As the message says, there has not been Soft-eLicenser created. In this case, download and install eLCC Helper, which forces the Soft-eLicenser creation.
Thank you Martin. I did as you suggested, but it seems as if my license for Cubase 11 simply doesn’t exist. Whereas it always used to be visible in my Steinberg Activation Manager, only Cubase 12 is visible there now. It has disappeared…
Appropriate moment to remind the op that in addition to the fact that the dongle must be connected…it may be a good idea to get any/all of his cubase 11 projects over to newer versions asap.
As of January, if his elicenser is ever lost/stops working, access to actual cb11 and his rewire routing etc is forever gone.
My USB licenser broke which is why I moved my license over to the soft version with version 11. Steinberg actually assisted me last time in transferring it. So I still have no idea why it has disappeared- I’ve been using it this year .
And unfortunately I cannot log a ticket with them from my territory
