CUBASE 11 - No Sound

Hey there,

I don’t get sound coming back into Cubase 11 (External effect) despite the VU meter of my Apollo showing activity on the specific IN channel. Same project works fine in Cubase 10.5. I am on Mojave, I know it’s because I have to enable Cubase 11 under the Security & Privacy>Microphone. However, Cubase 11 is not showing there. Only Cubase 10 and 10.5. What am I supposed to do?

Hi,

Please, search Google how to Reset Privacy Settings on macOS, pelase. Something like

tccutil reset _AppName_

or

tccutil reset All

should work.

It didn’t work as Cubase 11 never asked me for permission to use the microphone. Therefore, Cubase 11 never appeared under Privacy. After 3 hours of tests and research online, it turns out that when you disable SIP, MacOS bypasses the popup window to authorize the use of the microphone but still blocks the access to it in the background. I re-enabled SIP, then launched Cubase 11, the microphone authorization popped up, I accepted it and then it worked. What an ordeal MacOS has become!
