Hi I have a 2 second latency on one of my projects suddenly. It was fine last time I worked on it. The project I was on before was also zero latency. Studio setup is exactly the same on all my projects.
I can’t understand why this one project is suffering from severe latency. I did all the usual things changed buffer size opened closed project, checked a lot of other projects and they are fine with the same automatic studio setup. The main in registers the sound fine but the out takes 2 seconds to kick in.
I am using Prism Sound Lyra 2 and a MacBook Pro Intel.
Anyone have any clues how to fix this ?
Needless to say the project with the latency problem is called “I thought that was enough”
Thanks
Hi,
Do you use any plug-in on the Stereo Out by any chance?
Yes
It has air reverb on the main out and some others like bx solo.
I bypassed all the plugins and it made no difference.
There were no delay plugins anyway.
Hi,
Do you use Control Room by any chance? Is there any plug-in on the Monitor bus?
No there is no plugin on the monitor bus and I don’t use control room . .
You can see latency caused by plugins in the MixConsole. Make it visible in this way:
This will bring up a display like this:
Also don’t forget to check your audio interface latency, maybe the buffer setting got switched:
Ok thank you for the information.
The buffer setting didn’t get switched and I have removed the plugins now.
Still no joy . . .
No idea what could cause a delay inside Cubase then. Maybe it is outside of Cubase? It might be time to contact the maker of your audio interface and tell them about your problem and the latency settings within Cubase (no plugins, buffer size for the ASIO driver).
Thanks it was the Rx d click plugin that I had to remove.
Now back to no latency problem solved
It’s fixed thanks
