Cubase 12 and MODX not syncing at all since update to OS 14.2.1. HELP!

Hi there, so previously i could play the MODX within cubase 12, record tracks / channels to midi but NOT bounce to audio, so could not record as audio at all. I was advise to upgrade the OS as it was a much older version. I did so recently and things haven’t approved, in fact they’ve gotten worse, as now the MODX does not link to the mac mini /cubase 12 via the same cable and USB port (the MODX connect is not working). I’m at my wits end and am starting to dislike Apple (since getting the mac mini I’ve not been able to bounce to audio within cubase). Pls advise. I updated the yamaha driver to v3.1.6 since the most recent OS upgrade to 14.2.1 thinking this would work and things have only regressed to a really terrible setup / standard where nothing seems to work. Shall i use TimeMachine and go back to the previous OS where at least the MODX Connect worked (as well as waves) though i could not bounce to audio? Pls advise, it’s really tedious and annoying. I tried contacting the Yamahsynth forum but they’re doing some work to it, it’s under construction, so no help there. Pls advise. thank so much. Trevor

Hi,

Does it mean, you don’t see the device neither add MIDI nor as Audio Driver?

Can you see our in the list of the MIDI Devices and the ASIO Driver?

Can you see the device in the system level?

Hi,

The MODX is not showing as an audio driver anywhere. The MODX and Cubase are also not syncing via MODX connect. It’s gotten a lot worse since the “upgrade”. Any ideas, troubleshooting steps etc? Thanks for the response,

Hi,

Could you please answer these questions?

Is this a plug-in?

Same problem: MacOS Sequoia 15 MODX Connect does not sync the patches in both directions via Auto Sync. Why?
