Cubase 12 and Windows 11 - Where did my step record button go?

Title says it all (almost)
Step record button has not showed up since 12 installation.
I’ve right clicked on tool bars etc and no joy.
I need the step record function for percussion parts…

in the midi editor pick it from the list, then activate it from the toolbar
