Cubase 12 Pro - rendering including automation?

Hi
I’ve been searching the forums but didn’t find anything about this relating to '12.
To free up CPU I would like to have the ability to render in place, including inserts, but instead of embedding the automation in the file, I want the controller lane copied to the rendered track (for further editing).
This doesn’t seem to be an option? am I the only one who wants this?
is there a work around?

TIA
Z

Hi,

Do I understand you right, you want to include the Insert effects (including the automation of the Insert effects, because it doesn’t make sense to decouple the automation of the plug-ins) but keep the other automation parameters (like Volume, or what else?) excluded. Am I right? From my point of view it sounds quite complicated.

Hi
Thanks for taking the time to answer
Yes - I want to render the file with whatever inserts, but keep the automation for send effects.
As I am a oneman bedroom band, I tend to start mixing before I’ve finished composing and recording a track.
I have become quite interested in “Brauerizing”, that’s the reason I want to render cpu heavy tracks but keep the send automation. (I hope I make sense)

Freezing the tracks should accomplish what you’re looking for

Hi,

If your goal is to free the CPU for heavy tracks, then Freezing is the way to go, as @Timo00 mentioned.

I was so focused on stems that I forgot the obvious solution.
Thanks guys!
