Cubase 12 Session Freezes When Playing Video

Hi guys ,

Wanted to see if any one else has come across this issue.

I’m a sound designer and need video to work on my design work

Recently whenever I import a video into Cubase 12 , the video player just shows a blank screen when trying to play the video and then just freezes my entire machine

Is this a graphic card issue or a Steinberg issue? Has anyone come across this problem?

Maybe a silly question, but are the videos in the correct formats?

(There maybe an updated version of this list, this was just the first that came up with a quick google).
