Have you not had the invitation to the cubase live broadcast for mixing features in March? It has to be for the release if Cubase 12, they done a similar broadcast for Nuendo 11 and they wouldn’t go to all that trouble for cubase 11 for sure.
Whats of more interest is will it run on Windows 10? Windows 11 requires specific cpu architectures that act in a simalr way to external hardware firewalls. If those requirements have been incorporated into Cubase 12 (for the new security /licencing system) it could rule a huge swathe of users who are not able to use windows 11 without a substantial expense to upgrade a pc or laptop to enable use of windows 11 whilst windows 10 will be supported for another two years by Microsoft will not go down well with many of Steinberg user base.
I have not heard of any Software running only on Windows 11 yet. It may happen, that the newser the software the less it may be also tested with Windows 10. But given the fact that Windows 10 is still fully supported by Microsoft I would also say that from a business perspective it will be a kind of “suicide” to only have Windows 11 on the banner (imho).
Steinberg only just stopped support for Win 7, they won’t go balls deep on Win 11 so soon.
Cubase 12 will support Windows 10 (Version 21H2 or higher).
