Cubase 13.0.20 - Not showing channel information(Name, Levels, Inserts) in the left channel zone

Hi everyone!
I have a problem with New Left Channel Zone.
When I use Addictive Drums 2 and select directional outputs (Kick, Snare, Hi-Hat and etc) I can’t see their any information in the left zone. Name doesn’t change, Inserts and levels not showing.

Does anyone know how to solve the problem?
Thanks!

I can reproduce the problem and am surprised that I didn’t notice it before! For VST instruments with multiple outputs, the additional outputs are not displayed in the channel tab. If you select the other tracks of the instrument, the “main track” of the instrument remains active in the left channel zone.

In my opinion, this is a bug!

Is the problem known?

Definitely a bug. In 12 the info on the left zone updated as you selected the various outputs.

Thanks Mate!
Hope Steinberg will fix it quickly.

Something else that’s weird - in 13 only the EQ info updates as you scroll through the output tracks, but none of the other channel info like fader, panning, inserts, etc. updates

13.0.20 is A FREAKIN DISASTER!
Trying to find out how to roll back to the original 13 but no one is answering me, not even Steinberg.

Yep, it’s true. But works in MixConsile window. Weird. :man_facepalming:t3:

Unfortunately you’re right. Too many bugs.

If I’m not mistaken then In Steinberg Download Assistant you can find “History Versions” tab and 13 original version inside.

@dirkvanniekerk I can’t replicate this - all working fine for me in C13.0.20.

Sorry, not much help I know.

Did you use a VST instrument with multiple outputs?

Ah sorry no just one VST track with one output - I obviously didn’t read the thread properly!

I’ll try with a multi part drum track later if I get a chance but I suspect I’ll see the same as you did.

@dirkvanniekerk Just tried this with Groove Agent and had the same results as you, apologies for the earlier statement.

If you click on the “Main track” button at the top right, you can manually select the individual tracks in the selection list.

But hopefully this cannot be the intended solution. It has to be automatic!

Hey thread. One of the mods combined my topic into this one. I’m not sure why…but my original post was >
I love cubase. But the thing that hurts the most is the devs incessant ability to break things that worked better than fine.
In this case for years midi inserts were great in assisting with dynamics due to being able to record automation for eg the step or note size in Arpache 5.

But. Does it work in 13? No

Does it record automation data like it should? Yes!

Is that data in the automation lane recognised or read? NO!

Please fix automation in insert slots or alternatively run it back to when it was perfectly fine

It seems that not many people here work with Multi Out instruments in conjunction with the left channel zone…

Thanks for the idea, but this is not a very elegant solution. If you choose, for example, a Kick, then it will always show you only a kick and nothing else. I’m inclined to think that this is really a bug

But that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t work, does it? ))

Martin Jirsak mentioned in the linked topic that if you have an Instrument track, the Channel doesn’t show the Audio Return channels.

This is by design and it’s a known limitation.

Thanks for your deep dive.
Apparently need to waiting the update.

Hi,
this is not the intended behaviour and has been fixed for the next maintenance release. The channel inspector should indeed show the selected audio return channel.
Best regards
