Cubase 13.0.40 Maintenance Update

I’m not seeing the issue at all, but I’m using MacBook Pro M3.
I’ll also have a PC with the same version of cubase 13.0.4 I’ll tested on that as well.

Hi, I resolved the issue with my SSD5 instrument track by making a new SSD5 track, copying the MIDI data over to it from the track that would not make any sound. This worked in that I got audio from the new SSD5 track. Next I tried to copy and paste all my channel settings over to the new track, and after this I had no audio from the new track either. Clicked Undo, tried copying/pasting channel settings in sections instead of all at once, and this worked fine. Problem solved.

I can’t even launch the Download Assistant…

I resolved my SSD5 instrument track issue by creating a new track, copying the MIDI data over, and then carefully copying the channel settings in sections to avoid losing audio.

You can download the update directly from the support pages:

Great work, I am glad that Steinberg did something with my bug report of Cubase 13, regarding the red compression meter. I now notice that the metering on the console window works as expected again! Thanks for solving this little issue!

Please try the following…

1st and foremost:

Open an Administrator Command Prompt. Type in sfc /scannow hit

Do this Anytime your computer shuts down without using the Standard Shutdown procedure.

reboot.

When the computer boots up and after the hard drive light settles down, turn off your antivirus program.

Right-Click the Task Bar. Launch the Task manager. Lower left corner/ turn on ‘more details’ if it’s NOT on.

Under the Processes tab, under the Apps section, you can pretty much ‘End Task’ all of them. ( because if you just rebooted, there really should’nt be any open.) ( when in doubt - don’t do it )

End task on Acrobat, Google Drive (unless you’re using it), Microsoft Edge.

That should be a Good Start…

Go to the Startup tab.

Disable items that you KNOW you don’t need to start automatically. (microsoft Edge, Skype, etc. )

If you’re not SURE, Don’t Disable it.

Launch Cubase.

NOTE: The part about turning off Antivirus and Ending Task is something I do Everytime before I start working with programs like Cubase or Davinci, etc.

Hopefully, this will help.

HI, guys Good day, i’m new here and please need help, i just got the new cubase 13pro and after installing, i get this error messages and get stock at vstconnect.dll and Vst Connect.vst3

Please any advice, thanks

Are you sure you are installing Cubase 13 content only?
It looks like Cubase is looking for something based on the old elicenser.

It seems you have installed VST Connect together with Cubase. That requires a separate license,
This is used to do remote recording, so if you don’t need it Just uninstall it. It is not required for Cubase.

okay how do i unintall…

I guess you are one Windows, so just uninstall via the standard Windows Control Center.

okay, thank you

I have experienced this previously. The way I got it fixed was to set the output for the offending channel to no bus. Then in the Audio Connections setup change those specific outputs to no connection. Save. Close Cubase. Open Cubase / Projet. Reset up the connections.

This is very odd behavior because if it has lost the connection Cubase normally gives a warning when opening a project and allows you to configure the connection. There is something strange about how C13 now handles audio interface connections and external midi connection port names now.

I used the download assistant for the installations , so I don’t think I did what I wasn’t supposed to

Could be. But when I have this impression, it’s more because my brain just got slower… :upside_down_face:

I have cubase 13 freezing (for a long time, about a minute, at the end of recording) since 4th of december, and the problem is still unresolved in this release, despite providing freeze dump for more than 3 releases.

The customer service do not answer several times for more that 1 month !

I cannot use cubase 13 pro at all. How can I ask for a refund ?

with similar problems, it has always helped me to delete all preferences.
so start cubase while holding down ctrl+shift+alt on the bottom left of your keyboard and then delete all preferences in the following dialog.
note: sometimes it does not work immediately to start cubase with this 3 key combination

Is there a way to return to a previsorious version? After the latest update cubase is crashing like crazy everytime I switch a windows or I activate a new plugins…
