Cubase 13 'all midi inputs'

Dear all,
Apologies if I’ve put this in the wrong place.
In short I have midi devices listed in the inspector, Focurite midi, Yamaha Keyboard and Faderport, If I want to play an instrument I have to select the Yamaha Keyboard, selecting ‘all midi inputs’, no instruments or midi activity registers, I don’t remember it ever being this way before, I assumed selecting ‘all midi inputs’ meant any midi instruments in the list. do I have to create a Mackie control in midi port setup and select the keyboard there?

Thanks in advance
Andi

All MIDI Inputs contains all MIDI input ports that are activated in the In ‘All MIDI Inputs’ column in Studio Setup > MIDI Port Setup.

Setting up All MIDI Inputs

The name is a bit of a misnomer since the “All” doesn’t necessarily include every available MIDI Input, only the ones you choose to be included as @ASM points out.

Hi,

Plus the On-screen Keyboard.

Ah ok, I did deselecta few of the 'all midi inputs as I’m also running StreamDeck and Presonus Faderport and I was getting note sounding whenever I moved a fader or push a button, anyway thanks for you help, much appreciated

Hi,

If you are using Mackie Control device, it seems MIDI Notes when pressing buttons and PitchBend (Channel 1-9) when moving faders.

I seem to have sorted the problem, thanks for your help
