Cubase 13 and 14 - Midi Signal but no VST Sound

Hi Guys, I have problem.

In Cubase 13 i see midi signal, but I hear no VST sound.

1. The first thing I checked was the midi thru , this is on active.
2. The signal is going and the output is also selected.

Any help with this??? please?

System : MACBOOK PRO M3 / 14.4.1 SONOMA

Few ideas…

• is the Monitor button activated ?
• How is the Preferences > VST > Auto-monitoring option set ?
• What is included in the ‘All MIDI inputs’ option (Studio > Studio Setup > MIDI Port Setup, In All MIDI Input column for the MIDI port used) ?
• Are you sure that the MIDI channels match ?
• Have you checked the Retrologue preset and the output volume of the track used (I guess it’s an instrument one) ?

Thanks Cubic13, I was checking al your idea’s, After updating to Cubase 14, somehow the monitor button was automatically switched off … really stranged… I feel so stupid, I didn’t see it… Problem Solved
