I have a small problem with the ASIO4ALL configuration. It is the following: I have two sound cards (a Soundblaster AE9 and a Steinberg UR24C) that I want to use with Cubase 13 Artist so that with one I can record the sound of both the microphone and other instruments plugged into the inputs of the UR24C and, to listen, use the AE9 since it has a Toslink output.
Everything works as expected except that the analog input channels of the UR24C mix their signals, the microphone input can be heard in the line input, as well as the connected instrument. If I use only the Steinberg card, this contamination does not occur. I suspect that I must have something wrong configured, but I can’t find it.
Does anyone know where the fault could be?
Thank you very much for the help, I attach one screenshot with the settings as they are now.
Making progress with ASIO4ALL, Cubase 13 Artist and two sound cards?
Hello,
First of all, thank you very much for the help I’m receiving.
Good. Continuing with the subject (my UR24C management does not have the Loop Back setting), I have managed to record with the UR24C and listen to the result of the recording with the AE9 (we are on the right track) however, when I export the work to an audio file (WMA, MP3, etc) the analog channels are not exported.
Let me explain, I have created a small project that includes two voice tracks (micro line in 2) a guitar track (line in 1) and two instrument tracks that I have recorded with my Minilab 3 controller and Analog Lab V. I have exported the entire project, but only the Instrument tracks can be heard.
I attach a video file in which you can see the activity in the project, a file with the exported audio, and several configuration screenshots.
Thank you very much for the help
Good afternoon.
Thank you very much for your help. There are two tracks with vocals. When exported they are inaudible. However, in the mixer they are heard.
If I listen very carefully (really very carefully) I can hear, in the distance, some voices between silences or low volume parts of the instruments, in the mp3 export file. However, in Cubase the mix sounds fine. I don’t understand why.
I’m going to have to start looking for an Indian cemetery under my house :-))
I don’t know how the mix sounds in Cubase so I have nothing to compare to but I didn’t need to listen at all carefully to hear voices. They’re right there in the mix, clear as day.
Are you re-importing the file to Cubase to listen…could be something weird in the software you use to playback?? Or if you are reimporting to the same project could you be playing with the other vocals and causing cancellation?
