Hi, I know this topic has already been addressed, but I got lost among all the threads about it. Can anyone tell me if there is a workaround to prevent spike on asio guard? Is there any suggestion to at least partially solve this problem? I read that someone had downloaded a program that partially solved the problem.
I’m on Windows 11, intel i12 64 gb ram.
Thank you!
Allow me to say one thing… I use Dorico a lot and the assistance and support are definitely better. These issues are commonplace on this forum and it seems to me that Steinberg is stumbling in the dark…is at least someone on the team trying to fix this issue or will it go unheard for months or maybe years?
Did you tried to do all exclusion for real time windows protection, it’s not completely solving the spike but in my case and some other users it helps for a little better.
Do it to ALL your folder of : Samples / Instruments / Steinberg folders (programme C:/ Roaming / etc…)
First of all, thanks for replying, but I didn’t quite understand the procedure…
You can follow the step on the message 14 of the topic
The goal of that procedure is to get rid of the Real Time Windows defender scan process that can cause spike when files are used, so you need to “say” to windows defender not to take care of those files into those folders.
When using instrument like Kontakt it can trigger the scan process of the bank files…
So you need to exclude every possible folder that can be used when using Cubase and all those instruments…
