Cubase 13 - Chord Pads Remote Keys play together with the chord of the pad

Anything I can do about it? I tried with Disabled preferences, trigger notes are still passing through to the instrument.

Hi,

I cannot reproduce it here. It works as expected. Could you please attach the screenshot of the Chord Pads Remote Settings > Pad Remote Control? And what is the Input of the given Instrument Track, please?

Ah, thank you Martin! Now that I’m sure there’s something wrong here, I will take a deeper look.

Usually, I just leave it on All MIDI Ins. Is there a specific Chord Pads MIDI Out that I should use instead? I thought Chord Pads just intercepted, swallowed, and transformed any MIDI messages going through it from any MIDI input according to the settings made within the Chord Pads?

I will give it a shot in a couple of hours and come back with some feedback, and the solution, if I find one.

Hi,

You are right, the Track’s Input question doesn’t make sense.

The ChordPads is passing the MIDI data to the Record Enabled or Monitor enabled MIDI/Instrument Track, regardless the MIDI Input.

Hi. I have exactly the same problem and have been trying to solve it by reading the manual etc. for a couple of days. Makes me crazy. The trigger notes are also passing through to the instrument. I hope you’re able to help! Best Theo

Hi again. I have solved my problem here. It works when the instrument track is set to ALL MIDI IN … Mine was set to the specific instrument and that made the problem evidently. Thanks. @ggmanestraki have you tried that?

Well, what do you know. I had saved the project last night, and once I loaded it up right now, I saw that the Input of the track was set specifically to my MIDI keyboard, and not to All MIDI In, as I usually do.

Late night tinkering, not always good.
