Cubase 13 crashes while editing MIDI control surface

OS version: macOS 14.6.1
Cubase version: 13.0.41

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a new control surface and add a control (e.g. a button) or edit an existing one
  2. Select a control. In the attached screenshot a button is selected, but the crash occurs with any control (knob, fader etc.)
  3. In the properties panel choose the message type, e.g. Note
  4. Click inside the Channel text field and then click inside the Note text field

Result: Cubase crashes. It looks like the crash occurs when the text field acquires keyboard focus

Can someone confirm if this is a known/reproducible bug?

Hi,

It doesn’t crash on my side, doing these steps (I’m also on macOS 14.6.1, Cubase 13.0.41).

But the crash is in Cubase.
