I had EZdrummer installed, up and working just great. Then had a recording sabbatical. Upon returning the message “ezdrummer 1 plug in not found” Despite the EZ D track being there on the timeline. Ihave reloaded both EZD and Cubase 13 Elements etc, put it (EZD) in the same locations as Halion and Groove Agent ( wow ,that is utterly unusable without a degree in compooterology) and it still refuses to read it !! HELP.
Maybe you should explain exactly what you did. From your description, sounds like you’re moving things around when you shouldn’t and trying to use EZ Drummer standalone version instead of the VST plugin.
How much clearer must I be? How on earth do you get the impression that I would try and use the standalone version. I have been using (I should say “fighting with” ) cubase and ezdrummer since 2008 in different versions. This is the first time that the EZdrummer software has been ignored . It is in the same folder as Groove Agent and Halion Sonic.
well, usually moving folders is not a great idea, and especially with plugins, which are typcially not folders but single files like .dll (on windows VST) , so when you wrote you moved a folder, it already sounds suspicious
because it sounds like you have moved the entire EZ Drummer Folder into some directory of cubase (not exactly specificed with the exact path), so how should someone know from that information what you exactly did
you could have been clearer by giving us more informations like exact filenames, foldernames and also screenshots, also if you are using Mac or Windows, so yeah, common stuff like that.
also a screenshot of your plugin directory settings in cubase will help
have you tried to uninstall and reinstall your EZ Drummer? thats usually also a good bet because then it gets back installed into its default locations which also shall be readed by cubases by default.
Did you read the part where I wrote that it was all working fine and then after a time not using it Cubase had dropped EZdrummer ?
yes i did read that, but also typcially that things like that doesnt change on their own by itself.
if you dont like contributing more infos to your issue with ez drummer, we are unable to help, good luck with it
So reinstall it using the EZdrummer installer.
I have tried.
No joy.
I found a perfect solution though , use “Cakewalk” instead ! Not nearly as ludicrously complex as Cubase…and I can try find a fix to this riddle whilst still recording.
So reloaded cubase 13 elements and installed EZ drummer.
4 months later, Cubase dumps EZDrummer. Again !!
